MDF Door Production & Door Profile Showcase

Bow Wood Co. excels in producing high-quality, custom MDF doors using CNC technology. Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) is ideal for smooth, paintable surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms. We manufacture durable, stylish pieces for homes, reception areas and offices.

  1. Profile Design — Client selects an existing profile or we create a CAD profile. Profiles are created in Rhino or Vectric for 2D/3D tooling.
  2. Material Selection — Standard: MR MDF for paint-ready doors. Options: high-density MDF or HDF, veneered MDF, or substrate for thermoforming.
  3.  Nesting & Roughing — Doors are nested to maximize sheets; rough toolpaths cut profiles leaving small tabs where needed.
  4. Finishing Passes — Fine profiling with appropriate tools for crisp profiles. Edge banding if required (for slab designs using melamine panels).
  5. Routing for Hardware — Hinges, overlay, and backbore drilling cut precisely to match client hardware.
  6. Sanding & Prep — Hand-or machine-sanding to 180–220 grit; final inspection for consistent surface finish.
  7. Labeling & Kit Prep — Each door labeled with location, elevation and part number; doors bagged and strapped.
  8. Delivery or Paint Shop — Delivered paint-ready or routed for onsite finishing. We can partner with local finishers on request.
